Toco Warranty expands beyond third-party marketing to write and administer their own contracts.
LOS ANGELES, July 19, 2022 – Toco Warranty, a marketer of vehicle service contracts (VSC), began writing and administering their own contracts in an effort to assert more control over the customer experience. Toco previously sold contracts direct-to-consumer on behalf of Warrantech Corp., but decided that they wanted to expand their ability to write and administer their own contracts in order to customize offerings and ensure that customers were given the “Toco Brand” of award-winning Customer Care[1]. Toco offers labelled or white-labelled options for third party sellers like dealerships and financial institutions in addition to offering new employee benefit offerings.
Vehicle repair costs are an often unthought of until actualizing and many car owners fear the unexpected costs of these repairs. Reporting from AAA state that “64 million American car owners would have to borrow money to pay for a repair, the cost of which averages between $500 and $600[2]”.
“There are three people you gotta trust in life: your doctor, your lawyer, and your mechanic… but sometimes you can’t. That’s where Toco comes in,” says Paul McGee, VP of Employee and Customer Success. AAA writes that “two out of three U.S. drivers do not trust auto repair shops in general – citing overcharges, recommendations for unnecessary services and poor past experiences for their lack of confidence.
Toco Warranty’s initial offering, The Toco Plan, is a unique style of service contract that bases coverage on the mileage at the time of a claim, providing longer-lasting and easier to understand coverage for their month-to-month clients. “A Toco Plan removes the fear of the unknown and the hassle of a breakdown”, Paul continues. “Approved claims qualify for car rental assistance, towing, and much more.”
